Private mountain bike tours in and around Banff. We are the first and only certified mountain bike guide operator permitted in Banff National Park! We are pleased to provide custom experiences for all ages and abilities from beginner to advanced. We can’t wait to share all the skills (if required) and thrills for a truly authentic experience. Terrain will be suited to your ability and your tour will be tailored for beginner biking or intermediate and advanced singletrack.

What to pack/wear for your mountain bike tour:
**Note for e-mountain bike tours, you will generate much less body heat than you think, therefore layers are KEY.
- A rain jacket – mandatory for tour.
- A backpack with water and room to store layers
- Flat soled shoes if you have them, sneakers will work
- Full-fingered gloves and protective eyewear (sunglasses or safety glasses)
- Helmets are mandatory and included in tour cost. Feel free to bring your own
- Dress in thin layers in order to be mobile and remove if necessary
Please note that safety is our first priority. If the guide thinks your attire or footwear isn’t appropriate and compromises your safety on the tour, you may not be able to participate.

Private Tours FAQs
How long is a private tour?
Private sessions and tours start at two hours and can run up to four hours depending on the location, amount of people and skill level of the group.
Where do we meet?
Depends on where you would like to start from! Upon confirmation of your booking, you will receive all the required details of your tour via email.
Do you offer transportation?
We do not offer any transport to the trailhead. That said, we can certainly work with you to offer easy access and suggestions on how to get to the meeting point via car, local bus or taxi.
What equipment is provided?
Each tour participant will be provided with a bike (e-bike or analogue) and a helmet.
Do I need to have experience for a private tour?
Our private bike tours are custom suited to your ability. You should be comfortable riding some type of human-propelled, two-wheeled bicycle prior to taking a private tour. That said, we are happy to offer a skills session within your private session.
What is the cancellation policy?
Group tours cancelled more than 7 days prior to the tour start date and time are 100% refundable minus a 5% administration fee. Group tours cancelled within 3-7 days prior to the tour start date and time will receive a 50% refund. All tours cancelled within 72 hours of the tour start date and time are non-refundable. Tours can be postponed to an alternate date at the sole discretion of Bikescape. Any refunds for payments made by credit card will be subject to a 5% administration fee. Fees for refunds of payments made by e-transfer to a CAD bank account made in CAD dollars may be assessed an up to 5% administration fee.
Are gratuities included with private tours?
A 10% gratuity is automatically added for any private sessions or tours of six (6) or more. (100% of which goes directly to your totally awesome guides.) For private tours of under six (6), if you wish to offer a gratuity to your totally awesome guide for their incredible services, they will graciously accept cash or e-transfer upon completion of your tour.
